For many years this amazing place was in my neighborhood. The owner is so kind and friendly. The I've cream was always a favorite of my children's and Thier smoothies were the perfect company on a walk to the beautiful black sands of kaimu. I highly suggest everyone stops there on any trip to the big island. The fresh drinks amazing atmosphere and aloha spirit is what the big island is all about.

Da BEST little spot on the island. Tucked away in the remote village of Kalapana, The Smoothie Shack serves the freshest smoothies, açaí bowl, locally made vegan ice cream, bagels and other awesome treats. Stop by and grab some healthy grindz before heading out to the Black Sand Beach, or cruising the Red Road. You’ll be glad you did.

THE BEST!! Everything is Always Fresh, Delicious fruits and an Amazing place to be! Kalapana Smoothie Shack is Always my Favorite place to get a smoothie, acai bowl, or even a bagel and coffee depending on the time of day. All the toppings they have available for the acai bowl makes it Perfect! The fruit is always so good and fresh! Nothing better on a nice day than to stop by the smoothie shack and treat yourself and say Aloha to the Very Nice people working there!

This little shop right no where was our saviour. Staff was so cool and they were so polite. Had veggie bagel and smoothie and coffee. All was fresh and perfect blend.

Great little stop right on the coast. We got here right before closing and grabbed a quick bowl of ice cream before driving down the road to Pohoiki Black Sand Beach.
